Not word for word. Just the one that lands nearest.
What's been taking your attention?
Pick everything that's true. These are all legitimate. That's rather the point.
When did the two of you last do something you both looked forward to?
Answer it honestly. She already knows the answer.
Name one specific thing you know you've missed.
This is the sentence she'll read twice. Keep it short, keep it true, and make it something only you would know.

Here it is. Read it once before you use it.
Change anything that doesn't sound like you. It matters more that it's yours than that it's polished.
How to give it to her
- Write it out by hand. A printed page reads as something you generated. Your handwriting reads as fifteen minutes you chose to spend.
- Leave it somewhere she'll find it alone. Her side of the bed, her bag, the kettle. Not the kitchen table where the kids are.
- Then walk away. Do not hand it to her and stand there waiting for a reaction. The note asks a question. Let her answer it in her own time.
- Don't bring it up for two days. If she wants to talk about it, she will. Chasing it turns a request into pressure, and pressure is what she's already braced against.
